Turkish President Erdoğan meets Chinese President Xi Jinping at SCO summit
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, attending the 24th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday.
The leaders discussed bilateral relations between Türkiye and China, the ongoing Ukraine-Russia War, Israel's attacks on Palestine, and other significant global and regional developments, according a statement from Turkish presidency.
Erdoğan emphasized the importance of continuing to enhance Türkiye's relations with China in various fields, noting that this cooperation would be mutually beneficial for both nations.
Addressing the broader geopolitical concerns, President Erdoğan highlighted the critical importance of preventing the regional and global spread of the Ukrainian-Russian War and Israel's aggression towards Palestine. He called for the international community to take effective measures to address these threats and ensure stability.
