Hezbollah launches major attack on Israeli military sites with over 200 rockets and drones
Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance group, announced on Thursday that its fighters targeted multiple Israeli military sites with over 200 rockets and a swarm of drones.
This escalation comes in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanese towns and villages and in support of Gaza.
Hezbollah's operations targeted new Israeli military sites in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, Upper al-Jalil, deep inside al-Jalil, Safad, and Nahariya. Among the targets was a newly established Israeli position in the settlement of Kfar Blum, which was bombarded with Katyusha rockets following an Israeli attack on the town of Shebaa that injured a civilian woman.
In a subsequent statement, Hezbollah confirmed the bombardment of several Israeli military installations, including the newly-established headquarters of the 91st Division in the Ayelet Barracks, the headquarters of the 7th Armored Brigade in Katsavia Barracks, the Armored Battalion of the 7th Brigade in the Gamla Barracks, the 210th Division (Golan Division) in Nafah Base, and the Artillery Regiment of Yarden Barracks' 210th Division.
These actions were carried out in retaliation for an Israeli attack and assassination in the al-Haouch area, southwest of the Lebanese city of Tyre. Hezbollah mourned one of its leaders, martyr Mohammad Nehme Nasser, "Hajj Abu Nehme," who was killed alongside his assistant in an Israeli airstrike targeting al-Haouch.
In response to Hajj Abu Nehme's assassination, Hezbollah conducted an aerial attack using a swarm of one-way drones on several key Israeli military sites, including the 91st Division in the Ayelet Barracks, the 7th Armored Brigade in Katsavia Barracks, the Northern Area Command in Dadu Base, the 810th Hermon Brigade in Maale Golani Barracks, and the Golani Brigade and Egoz Unit in the Shraga Barracks. The attack also targeted the Northern Area Mishar intelligence base and the main base of the 146th Ilania Division.
On Wednesday, Hezbollah fighters launched four operations against Israeli military sites and soldiers along the border with occupied Palestine in response to the assassination of Hajj Abu Nehme.
Additionally, Hezbollah's fighters bombarded the Roueissat al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese Kfar Chouba Hills with a heavy Burkan rocket, causing fires and confirmed casualties. The al-Marj and al-Baghdadi sites were also hit with heavy Burkan rockets, resulting in significant damage.
This series of attacks marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, with both sides exchanging heavy fire and sustaining casualties. (ILKHA)
