Day 271 of genocide: Israeli bombardment kills and injures Palestinian civilians in Gaza
Early Wednesday morning witnessed a deadly assault on various parts of the Gaza Strip, resulting in casualties among Palestinian civilians due to missile strikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire by Israeli occupation forces.
According to local reports, Israeli airstrikes targeted residential areas, including homes in Gaza City's Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood. Ambulances faced difficulty reaching the wounded due to ongoing gunfire from Israeli troops.
The violence escalated with explosions and heavy artillery in Shuja'iya, along with drone attacks and helicopter fire. Paramedics managed to rescue seven deceased individuals and treat seven others injured after airstrikes hit a house owned by the Maqat family near Sheikh Radwan Pool in northern Gaza City.
In Tal al-Hawa, southwest of Gaza City, and Al-Zaytoun neighborhood to the southeast, Israeli military vehicles shelled homes, while "Quadcopter" drones flew overhead. An Israeli warplane also struck the Al-Ghafri printing press in Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
Rescue operations continued as search teams looked for survivors trapped in buildings destroyed by Israeli missiles in Gaza City's Zarqa area. Medical sources from the Palestinian Red Crescent reported transporting two injured persons to Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabalia after airstrikes hit a house owned by the Kurd family in Beit Lahia.
The aggression expanded to Nuseirat camp, Al-Zahra city, and Al-Mughraqa area in central Gaza with heavy artillery and gunfire. In Rafah, south Gaza, Israeli forces bombed homes extensively.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli offensive across Gaza has claimed over 37,925 lives, predominantly women and children, with more than 87,141 others injured. Many remain trapped under collapsed buildings as the conflict shows no signs of abating. (ILKHA)
