Speaking at a press conference after the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex, Erdoğan declared: “Public order is our state’s red line. We will not allow this red line to be infringed or violated under any excuse.”

President Erdoğan addressed broader geopolitical issues, highlighting Türkiye's strategic position at the crossroads of three continents. He pointed out the Syrian crisis, now in its 13th year, and the regional impact of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Erdoğan also condemned Israel's actions in Gaza, labeling them as genocidal and stressing the threat they pose to regional stability. “Unless Israel’s aggression is stopped, no state in the region, including Türkiye, can feel safe,” he warned.

Erdoğan called for increased dialogue and diplomacy, especially with neighboring countries. He emphasized the need for solidarity among Islamic countries to overcome differences and prevent future conflicts. He reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to Syria’s territorial integrity and national unity, citing Türkiye’s efforts to combat DAESH and prevent the establishment of a terror state by the PKK along its southern borders.

The President underscored Türkiye's efforts to find political solutions to the Syrian conflict, including the Astana process which brought together the regime and opposition. Erdoğan reiterated that Türkiye has no designs on Syrian territory and aims to see a stable and prosperous Syria. He also stressed that Türkiye will continue to pursue its national interests while supporting its allies.

In response to recent unrest in Kayseri, where violent incidents erupted following allegations against a Syrian national, Erdoğan condemned the spread of hate speech and racist vandalism. He assured that those responsible for the provocations would be held accountable and reaffirmed Türkiye's stance against chaos and racism. “We will not give into hate speech, fascism, racist vandalism, and provocations,” Erdoğan stated, reinforcing the government's dedication to protecting public order and social harmony.

The President’s remarks come at a time of heightened tensions and aim to reassure the public of the government’s commitment to stability and justice amidst various regional and domestic challenges. (ILKHA)
