Turkish police detain 11 ISIS suspects in Izmir raid
Turkish police conducted an anti-terror operation in Izmir, detaining 11 suspects believed to be members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The operation stemmed from an investigation by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into individuals suspected of ISIS activity in the Menemen district. A detention warrant was issued for 11 individuals, who were subsequently apprehended.
Authorities conducted searches at the residences of the detainees, seizing weapons, ISIS-affiliated publications, and various digital materials.
