Hezbollah targets Israeli sites near Lebanon border in solidarity with Gaza
Hezbollah, Lebanon’s prominent resistance movement, announced on Wednesday that it had launched attacks on Israeli occupation sites and settlements near Lebanon’s borders.
According to a statement, Hezbollah fighters targeted buildings used by Israeli soldiers in the Al-Metula settlement, causing direct hits that led to fires and casualties among those inside.
The attacks were described as retaliation for Israeli strikes on southern Lebanese villages and civilian homes, particularly targeting buildings in Khiam and Kfar Shuba towns. Additionally, Hezbollah fighters destroyed surveillance equipment near the Birket Risha site.
Regional resistance groups, including Hezbollah, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, and Yemen’s Ansarullah, have pledged to continue their actions against Israeli military bases in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. These actions have intensified since the onset of the Israeli regime’s military operations in Gaza last October. (ILKHA)
