The protest, which commenced after evening prayers (Isha), drew participants who passionately chanted slogans in support of Palestine and HAMAS, while vehemently denouncing the actions of the zionist occupation regime.

Addressing the impassioned crowd, Güler, representing the HUDA PAR Istanbul Youth Branch, framed the current conflict within a historical narrative of oppression and resistance. Drawing parallels between contemporary political leaders and historical tyrants, he underscored the enduring struggle for justice and human dignity.

"For us, Palestine transcends mere geography; it embodies a profound issue of faith and justice," Güler emphasized. He reiterated the symbolic and spiritual significance of Al-Aqsa Mosque, emphasizing that the Palestinian cause resonates deeply within the Muslim community worldwide.

Highlighting what he termed as nearly nine months and 261 days of conflict, Güler spoke passionately about the resilience of Palestinians in the face of what he described as unjust aggression. He called for sustained global solidarity until what he referred to as the Israeli occupation ends and Palestinians achieve their rights to sovereignty and dignity.

Metin Oruçlu, delivering a statement on behalf of the HUDA PAR Istanbul Youth Branch, painted a stark picture of the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza due to what he characterized as relentless Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.

"These attacks have plunged Palestine, especially Gaza and Rafah, into a severe humanitarian catastrophe," Oruçlu asserted. He pointed to the indiscriminate targeting of hospitals, civilian settlements, places of worship, and humanitarian aid facilities as evidence of what he termed as blatant violations of international human rights principles.

Calling upon the international community, particularly Islamic nations, Oruçlu urged for immediate and concrete action. He called for widespread boycotts of Israeli products, diplomatic and economic sanctions against Israel, and intensified pressure on global leaders to enforce a permanent ceasefire and facilitate humanitarian aid corridors into Gaza.

Oruçlu concluded with an impassioned plea for the immediate reopening of the Rafah border crossing to alleviate the acute humanitarian suffering of Gazans. He stressed the urgency of international intervention to address what he termed as a dire humanitarian crisis and to ensure the safe return of displaced Palestinians to their homes.

The demonstration in Istanbul reflects growing international concern over the escalating genocide in Gaza, with calls mounting for immediate cessation of hostilities and increased humanitarian assistance to alleviate the suffering of civilians. (ILKHA)
