Afghan Mining Minister meets with Russian investors in Kabul
Afghanistan's Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar, hosted a meeting with Russian investors on Sunday.
In an official statement released by the Ministry, it was disclosed that the Russian investors expressed a keen interest in exploring investment opportunities in Afghanistan. They particularly highlighted their interest in collaborating with the ministry for potential investments in the country’s mineral sector, with a special focus on the Balkhab copper mine.
Minister Delawar welcomed the enthusiasm shown by the Russian investors and underscored that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has ensured national security across the nation, creating a conducive environment to attract foreign investments. He encouraged the investors to submit their investment proposals pertaining to Afghanistan’s abundant mineral resources for further consideration.
