Turkish confidence index declines across key sectors in June
The Turkish Statistical Institute announced on Monday a decline in the seasonally adjusted confidence index across several vital sectors for June.
The seasonally adjusted confidence index dipped in all three major sectors: services, retail trade, and construction.
The services sector, a broad umbrella covering everything from hotels to financial firms, witnessed the steepest decline. Confidence in this sector fell by 1.5%, bringing the index down to 115.4.
Retailers also grew more apprehensive, with their confidence index dropping 2.6% to 108.8.
The construction sector showed the least significant decline, with a confidence index dip of 0.5%, settling at 87.9.
These figures paint a picture of businesses across key sectors of the Turkish economy adopting a more cautious approach. (ILKHA)
