Genocide in Gaza: 11 Palestinians killed in Israeli drone strike
At least 11 Palestinians were killed on Wednesday after being targeted by a missile from an Israeli drone in Gaza City.
A medical source at Al-Ahly Al-Arabi Hospital confirmed that two individuals died following the drone strike on Al-Sikka Street in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
In a separate incident, two Palestinians were killed by Israeli artillery shelling near Al-Alam Roundabout, west of Rafah. This brings the total number of civilians killed in Rafah since dawn to 23.
Local reports indicate that the Israeli occupation has destroyed more than 70% of Rafah’s facilities and infrastructure, including the complete destruction of all Rafah crossing halls and their associated facilities. The crossing has remained closed since May 7, when Israeli forces occupied the Palestinian side of the border following the onset of their ground invasion.
Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, over 37,396 civilians have been killed, the majority of whom are children and women. Additionally, at least 85,452 others have been wounded.
Thousands of victims remain unaccounted for, either buried under rubble or scattered on roads, as rescue teams struggle to reach them due to ongoing Israeli attacks and the massive amount of debris. The humanitarian crisis continues to deepen as efforts to aid those trapped and injured are hindered by the relentless bombardment. (ILKHA)
