Zionist forces kidnap 90 Palestinians during Eid al-Adha holiday
Zionist occupation forces kidnaped at least 90 Palestinians in the West Bank during the Eid al-Adha Muslim holiday, the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) reported on Wednesday.
Among those kidnaped since Sunday, the first day of Eid al-Adha, were children, three women, and previously freed prisoners. These arrests are part of a broader pattern of detentions, with PPS noting that since October 7, 2023, a total of 9,280 Palestinians have been kidnaped. This figure includes children and women who were taken from their homes, at military checkpoints, or coerced to surrender themselves.
The PPS characterized these detention campaigns as part of a larger aggressive strategy by Israel, which they describe as collective punishment. This ongoing tactic, the PPS argues, aims to suppress any potential resistance by systematically detaining Palestinians.
These actions have been met with significant concern from various human rights organizations and communities, as they highlight the intensifying conflict and the impact on Palestinian families and society. The situation remains tense, with calls for international attention and intervention to address the escalating detentions and broader hostilities in the region. (ILKHA)
