Hezbollah strike targets Israeli forces in occupied territories
Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance group, has acknowledged launching attacks on Israeli military positions in northern occupied Palestine.
In a statement released on Monday, Hezbollah confirmed that its strike resulted in the death of several Israeli soldiers and injuries to others. The attack was carried out in solidarity with the people of Gaza and in support of the Palestinian resistance.
The action was also a response to recent Israeli aggression against villages in southern Lebanon, as reported by local sources.
Hezbollah specifically targeted two buildings housing Israeli military personnel, the statement noted.
Over the past months, Hezbollah has intensified its attacks on Israeli military installations in northern occupied Palestine, citing the regime's ongoing atrocities and aggression as justification.
These strikes have led to the evacuation of Israeli settlers from the affected areas.
Despite eight months of conflict in Gaza since October 2023, Israel has failed to achieve its objectives of defeating the Palestinian resistance, particularly Hamas, and securing the release of Israeli captives.
Since the beginning of the Gaza war, the death toll has exceeded 37,000, with the majority being women and children. (ILKHA)
