United States: Mass shooting in Madison apartment leaves 10 injured
At least 10 people were injured in an early morning shooting at a high-rise apartment in downtown Madison, the capital of Wisconsin, on Sunday.
Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes reported that the victims, whose ages range from 14 to 23, were injured during a party at the apartment complex. Nine individuals sustained gunshot wounds, while one person was injured by broken glass. Police responded to the scene around 12:45 a.m. (0545 GMT).
Chief Barnes confirmed that none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening. Police recovered two different shell casings at the scene, indicating the use of two different weapons.
As of now, no arrests have been made, but the police believe the incident was likely targeted. The investigation is ongoing. (ILKHA)
