Turkish Foreign Ministry condemns Israeli attack on Nuseirat refugee camp
The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a strongly worded press release condemning Israel's recent attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Palestinian civilians.
“We deplore the Israeli attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, which has killed hundreds of Palestinian civilians,” the ministry stated. The press release emphasized that "with this latest barbaric attack, Israel has added a new one to the list of war crimes it has committed in Gaza."
The Turkish Foreign Ministry called on international institutions responsible for maintaining global peace and security, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill their obligations and put an end to Israel’s actions. The ministry highlighted that Israel is currently on trial before the International Court of Justice for violating its obligations under the 1948 Genocide Convention.
The press release underscores Türkiye’s stance on the importance of international intervention to halt the escalation of violence and ensure accountability for actions deemed as war crimes. (ILKHA)
