WFP reduces food rations for Gaza displaced due to funding shortages
The World Food Programme (WFP) is being forced to reduce food rations for residents displaced by the recent bombardment of Rafah, according to a statement released on Friday.
The organization is prioritizing hot meals at community kitchens to meet the urgent needs of those who fled the violence.
"Families are struggling to access basic necessities, including clean water, medical supplies, and fuel, on top of limited food assistance," said the WFP.
The WFP blames a combination of ongoing hostilities and restrictions on aid deliveries for causing the collapse of food and health systems in the affected areas. (ILKHA)
