70 migrants, including children, rescued off Turkish coast
Turkish Coast Guard teams rescued 70 irregular migrants, including 21 children, from four life rafts found off the coast of Karaburun and Çeşme districts in Izmir province.
The Coast Guard was alerted to the situation and promptly launched a rescue operation. The migrants had reportedly been pushed back into Turkish waters by Greek forces.
Following their rescue, all 70 migrants received assistance and were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for further processing. (ILKHA)
