Turkish Coast Guard rescues 117 migrants, apprehends smugglers
The Turkish Coast Guard rescued 117 irregular migrants, including 25 children, during operations off the coasts of Izmir, Muğla, and Antalya.
The Coast Guard acted on reports of migrants in inflatable boats and deployed teams to the areas.
The operations resulted in the rescue of 117 migrants. Two suspected human smugglers were apprehended in Izmir and Muğla.
An additional 32 migrants were rescued off the coasts of Antalya and Muğla.
Following standard procedures, all rescued migrants were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management. (ILKHA)
