Al-Qassam Brigades strike Israeli soldiers in Gaza City
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian group Hamas, has claimed responsibility for an operation in Gaza City, targeting Israeli occupation soldiers.
According to their statement on Telegram, Al Qassam Brigades set up a comprehensive ambush inside a house near the University College, south of the Al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City.
Fifteen Israeli soldiers were lured into the house, where they were subsequently attacked.
The ambush involved opening fire with a TBG rocket and detonating an explosive device within the house.
Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that 15 occupation soldiers were killed and wounded during the operation.
Following the ambush, Al-Qassam Brigades targeted a Merkava tank with Yasin 105 rockets. The tank was carrying reinforcements for the Israeli forces in the area.
Earlier in the day, they also attacked a military excavator and two Merkava tanks in Yabna camp, located in Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip. (ILKHA)
