Pro-Palestinian protestors arrested at Israeli consulate in San Francisco

The officers cited probable cause for the arrests, as the demonstrators refused to vacate the premises.

Thankfully, no casualties were reported during the incident.

According to social media posts, the protestors demanded an immediate cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. They displayed signs reading "Anti Zionism Is Not Anti Semitism" and "From The Sea To The River, Palestine Will Live Forever" on the front doors of the building.

As they chanted "Free, free Palestine," police officers bound their hands with zip ties before removing them from the consulate.

Despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for a cease-fire, Israel has continued its aggressive offensive in Gaza since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on October 7 of last year.

Tragically, over 36,400 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have lost their lives in the enclave, with more than 82,600 others injured, according to local health authorities.

After nearly eight months of Israeli aggression, large portions of Gaza now lie in ruins, exacerbated by a severe blockade restricting access to food, clean water, and medicine.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has accused Israel of genocide. In its latest ruling, the ICJ ordered an immediate halt to Israel's operations in the southern city of Rafah, where over a million Palestinians sought refuge before the invasion on May 6. (ILKHA)
