The GMO urgently called on the international community to intervene and save the lives of these vulnerable children.

In the press release, the GMO detailed the dire conditions faced by these children, emphasizing that they suffer from advanced malnutrition. This malnutrition has significantly affected their physical development, leaving them highly susceptible to infectious diseases, growth delays, and other severe health complications. The children lack basic necessities such as adequate food, healthcare, and regular medical follow-up. Their situation has been exacerbated by the deprivation of essential vaccinations and medicinal doses critical during their early developmental years.

The GMO highlighted the urgent need for comprehensive solutions to address the crises faced by children in Gaza. These solutions must include the provision of food, healthcare, nutritional supplements, vaccinations, and specialized food for children. Additionally, the GMO stressed the importance of advanced psychological care for children traumatized by the violence and horrors they have witnessed. It was revealed that the ongoing conflict has resulted in the deaths of 15,438 children, tens of thousands of injuries, and left more than 17,000 children without one or both parents.

The GMO strongly condemned the continuation of what it describes as genocide and crimes against humanity by the Israeli occupation, supported by the US administration. These actions include the systematic targeting of children through starvation, denial of healthcare, and other deprivations. The GMO called on all nations to denounce these compounded crimes and act to prevent further atrocities against civilians in Gaza.

The GMO appealed to the international community, including the United Nations, international child welfare organizations, and all countries, to address the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. It warned of the catastrophic consequences for the 3,500 children at risk of gradual death due to starvation policies. The office demanded immediate international intervention to save the 335,000 children in Gaza living under extremely difficult conditions caused by the ongoing conflict.

Furthermore, the GMO called on the International Criminal Court and other judicial bodies to prosecute those responsible for war crimes against children. It urged all free nations and international organizations to pressure the Israeli occupation and the US administration to cease the genocide and open critical border crossings, including the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings, to allow the entry of essential children's food and humanitarian aid.

This urgent plea underscores the critical need for immediate international action to prevent further loss of life and alleviate the suffering of children in the Gaza Strip. (ILKHA)
