"This barbarian called Netanyahu, who is dragging our region and the whole world into disaster, must be stopped," Erdoğan declared in his televised address on Sunday. He emphasized Türkiye's long-standing opposition to the persecution and injustice faced by Palestinians over the past 76 years.

Erdoğan highlighted the continuous massacre and oppression of Palestinians, stating, "The massacre in Gaza, as always, topped our agenda. The Palestinian people have been subjected to oppression for exactly 76 years. Palestinian children have been killed for 76 years."

The President reiterated Türkiye's steadfast objection to the oppression on all platforms, asserting, "No pressure, threat, or insolence will change this. We know well how difficult and heroic the struggle of our Palestinian brothers is. We will continue to stand by our Palestinian brothers."

Erdoğan noted that while Hamas accepted a ceasefire, Netanyahu continued to expand his occupation policy.

He assured that Türkiye's aid to Gaza continues without interruption and emphasized Türkiye's strong support for the recognition of an independent Palestinian state.

Erdoğan pointed out that 147 countries now recognize Palestine, urging for more international support to counter Israel's occupation policies.

"All values of humanity are being tested in Gaza and Palestine. Either we will pass this test, or our hearts will weigh heavier on us. We are working to increase economic pressure on Israel and supporting the recognition of an independent Palestinian State,” Erdoğan concluded. (ILKHA)
