Turkish Coast Guard rescues 117 migrants, including 31 children
The Turkish Coast Guard successfully rescued 117 irregular migrants, 31 of whom were children, during operations off the coasts of Izmir and Aydın.
Acting on a tip, Coast Guard teams were deployed to the region where the migrants were reportedly located in rubber boats. The coordinated effort resulted in the safe recovery of all 117 individuals.
A separate operation off the coast of Izmir led to the apprehension of an additional 29 irregular migrants.
Following standard procedures, all migrants were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management. (ILKHA)
