In a separate incident in Thatta’s Jhirk area, five people were killed, and 11 others were injured when a Suzuki pick-up van collided with a trailer. The passengers, hailing from Multan’s Laar area, were en route to meet relatives when the accident occurred. Rescue officials confirmed that all the deceased and injured were members of the same family.
Authorities have attributed the unfortunate incidents to the poor condition of the road and the presence of construction materials left unattended on the roadway for an extended period. These tragic events highlight the urgent need for enhanced road safety measures in the region. (ILKHA)
