Day 231 of genocide in Gaza: Civilian casualties continue to rise
The relentless Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip enters its 231st day, with dozens of innocent civilians, predominantly women and children, falling victim to the ongoing genocide.
Local sources report that Israeli forces targeted a house in the Al-Fakhoura neighborhood, west of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, resulting in five fatalities and several injuries. The region continues to experience a series of violent airstrikes.
In a separate incident, two individuals lost their lives when Israeli fighter jets bombed a house belonging to the Al-Masri family in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.
Simultaneously, artillery fire from the occupying forces rained down on various neighborhoods in Gaza City, including Al-Zaytoun, Tal Al-Hawa, Al-Rimal, Al-Sabra, and Sheikh Ajleen.
Reports are coming in that Israeli forces are advancing towards Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, effectively besieging some of its medical staff and wounded. The Juhor Al-Dik village southeast of Gaza City was also targeted by artillery fire, with Israeli military vehicles reportedly firing heavily at civilian homes.
Residential apartments belonging to the Abu Al-Luban family on Al-Nafaq Street, north of Gaza City, and the Al-Ayyoubi family in the Daraj neighborhood were bombed, resulting in dozens of injuries.
Meanwhile, Israeli naval boats continue their bombardment of the Gaza City coast. In the south of the Gaza Strip, Israeli army quadcopters have been spotted hovering over the European Gaza Hospital, east of Khan Yunis.
Israeli armored military vehicles are reportedly advancing from the eastern area of Rafah towards the city center on the outskirts of the Shaboura refugee camp, with shelling targeting the area.
Preliminary reports indicate that since the aggression began on October 7th of last year, there have been 35,800 Palestinian fatalities, the majority of whom are innocent civilians, including children and women. The conflict has also resulted in 80,200 injuries.
