According to a statement released by the Yemeni military, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was targeted by a locally made surface-to-air missile while it was conducting hostile missions.

The operation, which underscores the Yemeni forces' growing air defense capabilities, was carried out by the Air Defense Forces. The military has confirmed that scenes of the downing will be broadcast later. This incident marks the second UAV of the same type shot down within a few days, with the previous one being downed in Ma’rib Governorate.

This latest operation is part of a broader campaign by the Yemeni Armed Forces, who have successfully downed five UAVs of this type during what they refer to as the Battle of the Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad. The military's statement framed this action as a retaliation against the ongoing American-British aggression and in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.

The Yemeni Armed Forces emphasized their commitment to continuing the development of their defense capabilities to confront foreign aggression and to support the Palestinian cause.
