Turkish authorities apprehended 51 irregular migrants during an operation in Kırklareli province, located in the northwestern part of the country.
The migrants were found hidden in the cargo area of a truck at a security checkpoint.
Two individuals suspected of migrant smuggling were also taken into custody.
The operation unfolded near the village of Asilbeyli, where gendarmerie and police teams attempted to stop two vehicles. A car and a van disregarded the stop signal and fled the scene, but were apprehended by security forces after a pursuit.
