Young Quran students in Bitlis perform dabke to show solidarity with Gaza
Quran course students in Bitlis, eastern Türkiye, held a year-end event that not only celebrated their studies but also expressed their solidarity with the people of Gaza.
Children between the ages of 4 and 6 from various Quran courses across the city gathered at the Provincial Mufti's Office courtyard for the event. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a speech by Provincial Mufti Mehmet Feysal Geylani.
Geylani emphasized the importance of Quran courses for young children in raising a generation "morally and spiritually powerful." He expressed his gratitude to the course teachers and parents for their contributions.
In a display of support for Palestine, the students wore Palestinian scarves and performed the traditional dabke dance, a symbolic representation of Palestinian resistance. Their performance was met with great admiration from the audience.
The year-end event concluded with an awards ceremony. (ILKHA)
