Orphans Foundation appeals for urgent aid to flood victims in Afghanistan
Orphans Foundation (Yetimler Vakfı) has issued an urgent appeal for donations to help the Afghan people affected by the devastating floods that have swept across many provinces in recent weeks.
The flash floods have caused widespread destruction in Afghanistan, resulting in significant loss of life, the collapse of thousands of homes, and damage to vast swathes of agricultural land.
In response to this humanitarian crisis, Orphans Foundation has launched an emergency relief operation to provide much-needed assistance to the affected communities. The foundation, which has a proven track record of connecting donors with those in need, is calling on the international community to join their efforts in alleviating the suffering of the Afghan people.
In a statement released by Orphans Foundation, the organization expressed its deep concern for the plight of those affected by the floods, particularly children, the elderly, and women.
"Afghanistan is grappling with a catastrophic flood disaster triggered by relentless rainfall in recent days," the statement read. "Hundreds of homes have been submerged, thousands of people have been displaced, and there is an urgent need for humanitarian assistance. The floods pose a grave threat, especially to vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and women."
Orphans Foundation emphasized the importance of immediate action to help the Afghan people rebuild their lives.
"We must stand with the Afghan people during these trying times," the statement continued. "They desperately need our urgent assistance to get back on their feet."
The foundation is urging its supporters worldwide to donate generously to support their relief efforts.
"Your contributions will provide a lifeline to those in dire need," the statement concluded. "Together, we can make a difference and help heal the wounds of this disaster in Afghanistan."
