In a statement released on its official account, UNRWA expressed its deep concern, stating: "No child in the world should suffer like this. We need a ceasefire Now."

The agency warned of a new level of desperation unfolding in Gaza, seemingly under the indifferent gaze of the world.

Adding to the crisis, UNICEF reports that 95 percent of pregnant and breastfeeding women in the war-torn Gaza Strip are facing severe food poverty. This alarming statistic underscores the urgent need for international intervention.

Further exacerbating the situation, the United Nations Population Fund recently reported that 62 aid packages, containing essential childbirth materials, are still awaiting permission to enter Gaza through the Rafah crossing.

Since the Israeli aggression on the Strip began on October 7, the death toll has tragically risen to 35,091, with over 78,827 people wounded. The international community is urged to take immediate action to alleviate the escalating humanitarian crisis. (ILKHA)
