5.2 Earthquake shakes Azerbaijan's Caspian coast
A moderate earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck the Caspian Sea off the coast of Azerbaijan on Saturday, May 11th, at 5:21 PM local time.
The epicenter was located approximately 9 kilometers north of Lankaran, Azerbaijan. The tremor, originating at a relatively shallow depth of 10 kilometers, was felt across Azerbaijan, as well as in northwestern Iran and southeastern Armenia.
Fortunately, there have been no initial reports of injuries or significant damage caused by the earthquake. (ILKHA)
