African Union condemns Israel's attacks on Rafah
The African Union has issued a strong condemnation of Israel's recent attacks on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
In a written statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat expressed deep concern over the warfare conducted by Israel in Gaza, which has resulted in mass casualties. He particularly condemned the extension of the conflict to Rafah, emphasizing its critical role as the sole corridor for humanitarian aid.
Mahamat called on the international community to act collectively in response to the escalating violence in Gaza and urged for immediate measures to protect civilians and facilitate the delivery of essential aid to affected areas. (ILKHA)
