Academic solidarity: Bingöl University joins global call to end violence in Gaza
Bingöl University students and academics held a sit-in protest in support of university students and academics in the United States who were protesting against the Zionist occupation regime's genocide in Gaza.
The sit-in took place in front of the central cafeteria of Bingöl University from May 8 to May 9, with strong participation from academics and students.
During the protest, academics and students emphasized the need for more widespread actions in universities and described the situation in Gaza as a matter of conscience.
They also expressed support for the Palestinian resistance and called for an end to the violence. The participants criticized the normalization of discrimination and hate crimes against the European Turkish community and urged academics to be more sensitive to such issues.
Additionally, they highlighted the importance of solidarity with Palestine and condemned the violence and atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza. They called for a boycott of Israel and emphasized the need for justice and accountability for the oppressed.
The participants emphasized that the struggle for justice and freedom in Palestine is a global issue and called on people everywhere to support the cause. They expressed hope for a future where Palestine achieves freedom and victory with the help of divine intervention. (ILKHA)
