Unrelenting genocide in Gaza Strip enters 216th day: Dozens killed, injured, and missing
The Israeli occupation army's brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip entered its 216th day on Thursday, resulting in the death of dozens of Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom were children and women.
Many others were injured, and several are reported missing following a series of attacks launched by warplanes, artillery, and military navy on various areas in the region.
Medical sources reported that dozens were killed as a result of the occupation warplanes bombing homes in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City. Others were injured with various injuries, and there are still missing people under the rubble of destroyed homes.
The occupation forces launched an intense missile and artillery bombardment in the vicinity of Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, and along Street 8, towards homes and buildings. This led to the burning of a large number of them, with dozens of people missing. Ambulances are currently unable to reach the affected areas.
Ten homes in the vicinity of Hassan Al-Banna Mosque and the University of Gaza, in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, were bombed by the occupation aircraft. This has led to the displacement of thousands of citizens, especially from the schools of Atta Al-Shawa, Ain Jalut, Hassan Al-Nakhalah, Al-Falah, and Ali bin Abi Talib, towards the northern and western areas of Gaza City.
Israeli occupation aircraft fired at citizens moving in the neighborhoods of Gaza City, especially in the neighborhoods of Al-Zaytoun, Tal Al-Hawa, and Al-Sabra, killing and wounding people in the streets. This coincided with the Israeli navy firing several shells and gunfire at the homes of citizens in Al-Sheikh Ajlin and Tal al-Hawa, southwest of the city.
In Al-Sabra neighborhood in the center of Gaza City, a number of citizens were killed, and others were injured, as a result of the occupation bombing of a house owned by the Abu Sharia family. Ambulances and civil defense are being called to retrieve the victims and wounded from under the rubble of the house.
In the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, a woman and her son were killed in the bombing of a house. In Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, occupation aircraft bombed a house belonging to the Eid family, west of the city, killing eight civilians, including three children, one of whom is an infant.
The occupation planes continue to bomb the areas around the Rafah border crossing, with shells fired towards the eastern regions, especially in Al-Shuweika and Al-Jeneina. The occupation naval boats fired machine guns towards the western areas of the city of Rafah, while the occupation artillery renewed its shelling of the Rafah municipality building in the south, leading to the destruction of parts of the building.
Israeli forces also shot at fishermen along the beach in Khan Yunis, killing one.
The ongoing violence underscores the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the urgent need for international intervention to protect civilians and bring about a cessation of the ongoing Israeli genocide in the enclave. (ILKHA)
