China: Knife attack at hospital in Yunnan Province leaves over 10 dead
A knife attack at Zhenxiong County People's Hospital in Yunnan Province, China, resulted in over 10 deaths and multiple injuries on Tuesday.

Chinese media outlets confirmed the attack and the high casualty rate, which contradicts earlier reports of two deaths and 23 injuries. Witnesses described a chaotic scene with people injured and lying on the ground. Photos published by state media showed a man wielding what appeared to be knives in both hands.
This incident is the latest in a string of knife attacks in China, despite a nationwide ban on firearms. Last year, Yunnan Province itself saw a knife attack in a residential district that left two dead and several injured.
