Israeli forces begin forceful displacement in Rafah, threatening 100,000 Palestinians

Reports indicate that flyers were dropped from the skies, along with SMS and social media broadcasts, signaling the start of this coercive action by the Israeli occupation. This move adds another grim chapter to what has been described as a live-streamed genocide.

Israeli spokesperson Avichay Adrai has stated that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have purportedly expanded the so-called "humanitarian zone" in the Mawasi area and are now compelling Palestinians to evacuate eastern Rafah, which was initially designated as a "safe zone".

The forced displacement by Israeli authorities is estimated to affect at least 100,000 of the 1.4 million Palestinians currently displaced in Rafah. Furthermore, it poses a severe threat to the remaining population in Gaza, as the Rafah border crossing is likely to become a target for bombardments.

After seven months of relentless violence, the toll on Palestinians has been devastating, with over 100,000 reported as martyrs, wounded, or missing. The situation remains dire as the conflict continues to unfold. (ILKHA)
