Hamas delegation to resume ceasefire talks in Cairo
The Hamas Movement announced that its delegation is scheduled to travel to Cairo on Saturday to resume discussions regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip with a "positive spirit."
In a statement issued, the Movement confirmed the delegation's plans, stating: "We emphasize the positive spirit with which the Hamas leadership dealt with the ceasefire proposal it recently received, and we are going to Cairo in the same spirit to reach an agreement."
The statement further outlined Hamas's determination to secure an agreement meeting the demands of the Palestinian people, including a complete cessation of aggression, withdrawal of occupation forces, return of displaced individuals, relief and reconstruction efforts, and a comprehensive exchange deal.
The talks come amidst ongoing efforts to broker a ceasefire and address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. (ILKHA)
