Türkiye announces intervention in South Africa's lawsuit against israel at the ICJ
During a joint press conference with his Indonesian counterpart, Retno Marsudi, in Ankara, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan revealed that Türkiye would intervene in South Africa's lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
The press conference took place following a meeting between Fidan and Marsudi. The discussions covered various issues, with a particular emphasis on the situation in Palestine. Fidan highlighted the joint efforts with "friendly countries" to secure international recognition for Palestine.
"In the 21st century, as starvation ravages Gaza and mass graves are being uncovered, what is the international community waiting for?" Fidan asked, issuing a warning to nations supporting Israel's actions. He emphasized the global repercussions of the Gaza crisis and pointed out the widespread protests in countries that back Israel.
"The bloodshed in Gaza transcends regional borders," Fidan stated, underscoring the gravity of the situation. (ILKHA)
