Turkish Coast Guard rescues 44 migrants, including 15 children, off Ayvacık coast
The Turkish Coast Guard rescued 44 irregular migrants, including 15 children, from a disabled boat in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale.
The Coast Guard's North Aegean Group Command teams responded to a distress call from a migrant boat experiencing engine failure. The teams successfully located the vessel and brought all 44 migrants, including 15 children, safely to shore.
Following standard procedures, the migrants were transferred to the Foreigners Repatriation Center in Ayvacık. (ILKHA)
