UK summons Russian ambassador over alleged "malign activity”
The United Kingdom has summoned Russia's Ambassador Andrey Kelin to express strong concerns about suspected Russian involvement in "malign activity" on British soil.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) did not specify the exact nature of the alleged activity, but a spokesperson emphasized the UK's deep concern and called for an immediate end to such actions.
"We remain deeply concerned by allegations of Russian orchestrated malign activity on UK soil," the spokesperson said, adding that the UK is "witnessing a wider reported pattern of behaviour" by Russia of sponsoring similar activities in other countries.
The FCDO statement also highlighted the UK's commitment to working with allies to counter the full range of threats posed by Russia. (ILKHA)
