According to NNA, Israeli warplanes targeted a two-story house belonging to the Qashaqash family in Hanin, launching two missiles that completely demolished the building and claimed the lives of two individuals inside.

Among the casualties were identified as Maryam Qashaqash and her niece, Sarah Qashaqash, who was just 11 years old.

In the aftermath of the strike, emergency response teams, including ambulance units from the Islamic Health Authority, the al-Risala Scouts, and the Civil Defense, rushed to the scene to search for survivors buried under the rubble. Six wounded victims were located and promptly transported to the Martyr Salah Ghandour Hospital in Bint Jbeil.

Maryam Qashaqash's remains were discovered over two hours after the attack and were also transferred to the hospital in Bint Jbeil.

While Israeli airstrikes on Lebanese territory have decreased in recent weeks, the precision strikes continue to target southern Lebanon. However, this particular incident marks the first civilian casualties in nearly a month.

Prior to this, one of the latest Israeli strikes targeted not only civilians but also paramedics, resulting in the death of seven paramedics in an airstrike on the Islamic Medical Association center in the town of Hebbariyeh.

Hezbollah strongly condemned the attack, vowing retaliation against the aggression. Lebanese MP Hassan Mrad denounced the airstrike as "a new massacre" in Israel's record of crimes.

The Lebanese Succour Association's Emergency and Relief Corps described the aggression as a "heinous crime" and a violation of international laws, holding the Israeli occupation forces accountable.

Israeli airstrikes have frequently targeted defenseless Lebanese civilians and children, including a March 9 strike that killed five individuals, and another attack on Blida that injured nine civilians who had sought refuge in Khirbet Selem. (ILKHA)
