Renowned Yemeni Scholar Sheikh Abdul Majeed al-Zindani passes away
Abdul Majeed al-Zindani, a prominent Yemeni scholar and one of the founders of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, has passed away at age 82.
Zindani, who was considered the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen, was living in exile in Türkiye at the time of his death.
Zindani's passing was confirmed by Mullah Envar Kılıçaslan, President of ITIHADULULEMA, on his social media account.
“It is with profound sorrow that we learned of the passing of Sheikh Abdul Majid Zindani, a distinguished scholar of our era. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Muslim community, with particular regard to his family and fellow scholars. May Allah bestow His mercy upon him and grant him a place in heaven,” Kılıçarslan wrote on X.
The loss of Sheikh Zindani is a significant blow to the Muslim scholarly community, and he will be remembered for his contributions to the International Union of Muslim Scholars. (ILKHA)
