Escalation in West Bank: Settler injured in flag ambush, two Palestinian youths martyred
Tensions escalated in the West Bank on Sunday following a series of incidents that have stoked fears of a broader conflict.
Amid this unrest, a settler was injured in a flag ambush, reminiscent of a similar incident in 2018.
The zionist occupation forces (ZOF) reportedly opened fire on two Palestinian youths at the junction of Beit Anoun village, northeast of al-Khalil, resulting in their deaths. Following the incident, ambulance crews were reportedly prevented from reaching and attending to the victims.
In a subsequent operation, the ZOF stormed Beit Anoun village in large numbers. They were deployed on the roads and around Palestinian residents' houses, conducting raids and searches. Several houses were reportedly vandalized during these operations.
In a separate incident, an Israeli settler was injured while attempting to remove a Palestinian flag northeast of Ramallah. The flag was reportedly rigged with an explosive device that detonated during the removal attempt.
These incidents follow a three-day siege of Tulkarm, during which dozens of its youth were martyred. In response, the West Bank has initiated a comprehensive strike, condemning the Israeli occupation's aggression and praising the Resistance's escalated operations.
The situation remains volatile, with concerns of further escalation in the coming days. (ILKHA)
