UNFPA exposes israeli obstruction of aid delivery to Gaza
The UN Population Fund (UNFPA) has disclosed a list of crucial aid items that Israel has prevented from entering the Gaza Strip, highlighting the dire humanitarian situation in the region.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the UNFPA detailed some of the essential materials barred from reaching Gaza, including ventilators, wheelchairs, maternity kits, and water pumps.
Aid trucks attempting to enter Gaza are subject to Israeli control, and if any objection is raised regarding a single item on the truck, the entire shipment is denied entry into the enclave.
Reports indicate that Israel has completely rejected numerous aid shipments, refusing items such as small scissors, insulin pens, anesthesia, oxygen cylinders, and surgical materials.
Despite efforts by various countries to provide aid to Gaza through Egyptian territories, much of the assistance remains stranded in Egypt due to Israeli obstacles.
The revelation underscores the challenges faced by humanitarian organizations in delivering vital assistance to Gaza's population amidst ongoing restrictions imposed by israeli authorities. (ILKHA)
