Day 186 of genocide: Israeli airstrikes continue reign of terror in Gaza
Israeli airstrikes have pounded several areas across the Gaza Strip, resulting in multiple civilian casualties and injuries, as reported by local and medical sources.
Israeli warplanes targeted two houses in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, resulting in the death of two civilians and the injury of many others. Concurrently, Israeli artillery shelled several neighborhoods within Gaza City, including Shejaiya, Sabra, Tal Al-Hawa, and Sheikh Ajleen.
Another airstrike claimed the life of a civilian and wounded several others on Salah al-Din Road, southeast of Gaza City. The injured were rushed to Al-Ahli Arab Hospital for medical treatment.
Further attacks included bombings on a residential house in northern Gaza Strip, alongside artillery shelling in various areas. In the central Gaza Strip, two civilians lost their lives and others were injured as artillery targeted the vicinity of a school serving as a shelter for displaced individuals in Deir al-Balah.
Moreover, Israeli warplanes targeted a residential tower in the town of Al-Zahraa in central Gaza, with the extent of the damage still being assessed.
In the southern region, two civilians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli shelling targeting a house in the Al-Tanour neighborhood, east of Rafah city. Simultaneously, Israeli warships fired shells and heavy machine guns toward the coast of Rafah.
In Khan Yunis, citizens and paramedics discovered around 84 bodies of martyrs, many in a decomposed state, following the Israeli army's withdrawal from the city. Some of the recovered bodies were taken to Abu Yousef Al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah, while others were buried by local residents.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has resulted in a preliminary toll of 33,207 citizens killed, predominantly children and women, and over 75,933 others injured. (ILKHA)
