Turkish airstrike targets PKK members in northern Iraq
The Turkish Defence Ministry announced today that four members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were killed in an air operation conducted in the Metina region of northern Iraq.
In a statement, the ministry said, "4 PKK terrorists detected in the Metina region were neutralized with an air operation."
"Neutralized" is a term frequently used by Turkish officials to describe militants who are killed or captured in such operations. (ILKHA)
