Erdoğan discusses bilateral ties with Indonesian President-elect Subianto
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Indonesian President-elect Prabowo Subianto on Monday.
The call addressed Türkiye-Indonesia relations and global developments, according to a statement by Turkish presidency.
Erdoğan congratulated Subianto on his election victory and expressed his expectations that relations between the two countries would further strengthen. He said he wanted cooperation to advance in every field, particularly in defense industry, military, trade and financial areas.
Erdoğan also stressed the importance of continuing collaboration with Indonesia on the Palestinian cause as well as on all issues related to the Islamic world. The two leaders also exchanged Eid al-Fitr greetings during the call. (ILKHA)
