Upon examining the subsectors of the industry (based on 2021=100), it was found that the mining and quarrying index rose by 12.8%, the manufacturing index increased by 11.9%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index saw a rise of 7.7% in February 2024, compared to the same month of the previous year.

Monthly Industrial Production Sees 3.2% Increase

In addition to the annual increase, the industrial production also witnessed a monthly increase of 3.2%.

A closer look at the subsectors revealed that while the mining and quarrying index decreased by 3.2%, the manufacturing index and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index saw increases of 3.8% and 0.3% respectively in February 2024, compared to the previous month. (ILKHA)
