Türkiye's pistachio exports surge to $73.79 million in 2024's first quarter
Türkiye has witnessed a remarkable surge in pistachio exports, reaching $73.79 million in the first quarter of 2024, marking a significant increase from the $24.25 million recorded in the same period last year.
Official data reveals that Türkiye exported pistachios to 69 countries since the beginning of the year, demonstrating the global demand for the popular nut. Comparatively, last year saw $151.57 million in pistachio exports to 96 countries throughout the entire year, underscoring the accelerated pace of exports in 2024.
Leading the pack of importing nations is Italy, with imports totaling $12.15 million, followed closely by Germany with $11.83 million and Iraq with $9.12 million.
The surge in pistachio exports reflects Türkiye's growing prominence as a key player in the global nut market and highlights the increasing demand for Turkish pistachios worldwide. (ILKHA)
