This event, considered the holiest night of Ramadan, witnessed a significant turnout despite tightened restrictions imposed by Israeli authorities.

Reports emerged earlier on Friday detailing israeli limitations on access to the holy site.  Worshippers residing in the West Bank faced roadblocks and permit checks, effectively preventing them from reaching Jerusalem for prayers.

Israeli occupation forces stationed at entrances to the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque reportedly conducted extensive identity checks, particularly targeting young men.  These measures resulted in a number of individuals being denied entry to the mosque compound, sparking frustration and disappointment.

Further escalating tensions, Israeli authorities deployed a robust security force in the vicinity of the holy site.  An estimated 3,600 heavily armed police officers flooded Jerusalem's Old City and surrounding areas, creating a heightened sense of security and potential intimidation for worshippers.  Additionally, reports indicate that several roads leading to the Old City were sealed off, potentially hindering access for some worshippers and contributing to a more congested atmosphere.

Undeterred by these obstacles, a determined crowd of 200,000 Muslims persevered in attending the Isha and Taraweeh prayers, underlining the immense significance of Laylat al-Qadr.  This large gathering serves as a testament to the deep devotion and unwavering faith held by Muslims for this sacred night.
