Qur'anic Generation Platform urges global prayers for Gaza on Laylat al-Qadr
The Qur'anic Generation Platform issued a statement on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr Night, extending greetings to the entire Islamic world and urging prayers for Gaza, the ummah, and humanity.
Laylat al-Qadr, also known as the Night of Power, is believed to be the night the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by the Angel Gabriel. It is considered a night overflowing with divine blessings, mercy, and the potential for immense spiritual rewards.
The platform highlighted the profound importance of Laylat al-Qadr, stating that its blessings surpass a thousand months and its spiritual merit is comparable to eighty years of worship.
The message emphasized the importance of actively observing this night in prayer and devotion. Muslims are encouraged to attend special night prayers at mosques or to create a prayerful atmosphere within their homes, potentially observing a spirit of itikaf (spiritual retreat) with their families.
Beyond personal reflection and spiritual growth, the platform's message issued a powerful call to action. It urged Muslims to unite in prayer for those facing hardship, particularly the people of Gaza and the broader Muslim world (ummah) as a whole.
The message lamented the "shameful state" witnessed in the face of ongoing struggles, urging prayers for forgiveness and a renewed sense of unity and purpose within the Islamic world.
Quoting from the Quran, the message served as a reminder of the immense peace and blessings associated with Laylat al-Qadr. Osman Yalçınkaya, Adana Coordinator for the Qur'anic Generation Platform, delivered the message.
He emphasized that Laylat al-Qadr marks the culmination of a blessed three-month period, encompassing Ramadan, Shawwal, and Dhul-Qadah. Yalçınkaya urged Muslims to seize this precious opportunity for increased devotion and spiritual growth.
Looking beyond Laylat al-Qadr, the platform expressed a fervent hope that this holy night would serve as a catalyst for positive change. Prayers were offered for the alleviation of suffering in Gaza, the unity and strength of the ummah, and a brighter future for humanity as a whole.
The Qur'anic Generation Platform concluded their message by conveying their warmest Laylat al-Qadr greetings to Muslims worldwide. (ILKHA)
